Simon Cowell called Tuesday's performance Kechi's best to date and 'a magic, magic magic moment.'

Kechi is one step closer to the "America's Got Talent" finals.

The Pearland resident and plane crash survivor earned another standing ovation from the judges for her commanding version of "Don't Worry About Me," a ballad from English singer Frances.

The performance moved Mel B. to tears.

"You're just so special. You just give people hope and strength and inspiration," Mel B. said.

Kechi dedicated the song to her mother, who welled up with tears in the audience.

"She's done so much for me. I can spend the rest of my life trying to give back but it's not enough," Kechi said.

Kechi was one of two survivors of the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 plane crash in Nigeria that killed 107 people. She and her family moved to Texas in 2007 for treatment at Shriner's Hospital for Children in Galveston. She's undergone more than 100 surgeries.

In 2015, Kechi graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in economics and gave a speech during her commencement ceremony.

Simon Cowell called Tuesday's performance Kechi's best to date and "a magic, magic magic moment."

Howie Mandell was left speechless and said he wanted to give her a hug. Heidi Klum told Kechi she "ruled the stage today like a queen."

Kechi is one of 11 acts competing for five spots in next week's finals. Results will be announced Wednesday.
